We rent both the coated and uncoated versions of the Cooke S4's. Jon Fauer described the uncoated versions of these lenses in Film & Digital Times as having "lower contrast, milkier shadows, weird aberrations, flares, and streaks. In a word, 'vintage.' "

These lenses come with standard (coated) front elements by default. If you are interested in the uncoated versions, please let us know when placing your rental.
