CANON FD PRIME LENSES

Photographers who have used vintage glass will likely be familiar with the vast selection of Canon FD series lenses. Each full frame lens in our set, rehoused by ZeroOptik, has a particular vintage look based on the lens model and condition of the original optics, making it unique from any other set in existence. Many compare the look of the FD lenses to the Canon K-35 cinema primes, one of our most popular rentals.

Canon FD Model Guide

  • FD - Canon's first generation of FD stills lenses (following the FL lenses) released from 1970-1979.

  • nFD - Short for "new FD", released from 1979-1989. These lenses had superior mechanics with optics that were the same or superior to FD lenses, all featuring SSC multi-coatings.

  • FD-L - FD lenses incorporating Canon's high level L series ("Luxury") technology, including multi-coated optics and aspherical elements.

  • SSC - "Super Spectra Multi-Coating" anti-reflection coatings. All nFD lenses feature SSC multi-coatings, while only some FD lenses include it.
