FREEFLY EMBER S5K

The Freefly Ember S5K camera is a game changer in high speed cinematography. It features a 5K Super 35 sensor, global shutter, and uses the Apple ProRes 422 LT codec. It is incredibly small and lightweight, making it a great option for gimbal and drone work. Users have the option of either internal or external SSD's and a variety of accessories depending on production needs. Users can prioritize frame rate or resolution/crop by choosing from a wide variety of shooting modes, finding the best combination for the desired shot.

Ember S5K Frame Rate Overview

​The Ember S5K features a wide range of shooting formats. Choosing a shooting format is essentially a compromise between frame rate and resolution/aspect ratio/crop. If resolution is a priority, capture formats will be limited to lower frame rates. As resolution and aspect ratios decrease, maximum frame rates increase. The camera crops to the center of the sensor as resolution decreases.
